Currently, there's a kind of annoying problem with Eventification, which is that if I have selected some set of tags, I will ONLY see events with those tags if I log in. This makes it a real pain to branch out and discover new types of events. This is exacerbated by the fact that there is an unlimited number of tags, so even the existing ones might not be used consistently. For example, say somebody has an event about coding with C#. They might tag it "coding", "geek", "technology", and "c_sharp". Another person might create an event for C# developers to meet and eat, and tag it with "technology", "developers", "food", "social". Unless I'm following "technology", I won't even SEE both of these in the same filtered view.

Currently, to get around this problem, I always just log out of Eventification so I can see the "unfiltered listing" of upcoming events. That is very sub-optimal and clearly defeats the purpose of the site. However, I do this because I'm afraid that otherwise I will miss something that interests me just because I'm not following the right tag.

The solution to this that I propose is simple: Keep the view just as it is, where the user is displayed the events that match their current followed tags. ADD a new tag cloud to the side of the view, called "Tags that you aren't following" which is exactly that: A cloud of the tags that are NOT being followed by the user. This allows them to see if a new and interesting tag pops up in the event stream, and then they can click it to explore, and potentially add that to their list of tags.

Events have an event grouping that should have it's own page and RSS/iCal feed. For example, OpenCoffee events are grouped under the same group, but I cannot reference the group when giving a link to people wanting more information. Currently, the best I can give them is a tag page like "entrepreneurship".
